Court Research

In addition to the handling of a firm’s filings of court documents, MASTER FILE clerks are also fully capable of any research that may need to be performed at the various courts or government offices. At a rate that is less than that of a legal assistant, our search capabilities include but are not limited to the following:

COPY RETRIEVAL
Obtaining copies, minutes, and other legal documents from court files.

CASE FILE RESEARCH
Updating case status; obtaining, verifying judge’s signatures, etc.

LITIGATION SEARCH
Court record search for past and present litigation involvement.

DOCKET WORK
Signing up hearing dates; motion and trial docket verification.

All MASTER FILE clerks are provided with petty cash (around $30) to cover minor court costs, fronting fees, etc. Large fees must be provided by the requestor or full reimbursement on return is required.
